Please refer to L25.00 BENEFITS of the Collective Agreement for information on the language that applies to our current benefits plan.  

Members can also go to their employee portal on for specific benefits information.

Language from Part A – Central Articles indicates:

Parties have agreed to participate in the Provincial Benefit Trust set out in the appended Letter
of Understanding subject to 4.2.1(c). The date on which the benefit plan commences
participation in the Trust shall be referred to herein as the “Participation Date”.
The Boards will continue to provide benefits in accordance with the existing benefit plans and
terms of collective agreements in effect as of August 31, 2014 until the Employees’
Participation Date in the Trust.

More information about the Provincial Benefit Trust will come soon.  The projected date of transition is February 2018.  Members who are already on the current benefits plan will be switched over, as well, members who are permanently hired but are not under the current plan will be able to apply.
